"Before taking the IHSS
class, I didn’t know
how to properly lift
patients in and out of
a wheelchair, or how
to provide the best
nutrition for my seniors’
diabetic needs. The IHSS
series taught me about
nutrition and safety,
how to prepare meals
and how to safely lift
patients, among other
things. I looked forward
to each class and
traveled on three buses
to attend the lessons. It
was worth the struggle
because now I know I
can provide the highest
quality of care.”
-- Su-Nan Huang;
IHSS Graduate
