"Before taking the IHSS class, I didn’t know how to properly lift patients in and out of a wheelchair, or how to provide the best nutrition for my seniors’ diabetic needs. The IHSS series taught me about nutrition and safety, how to prepare meals and how to safely lift patients, among other things. I looked forward to each class and traveled on three buses to attend the lessons. It was worth the struggle because now I know I can provide the highest quality of care.”

Location Partners

Did you know that one of the greatest costs to lift families out of poverty is training location? Classes are needed throughout California, and with hundreds of thousands of poverty level individuals waiting for career training, we need partners to bring our vision to pass.

Do you have access to a possible classroom? We look for rooms that have room for 20-30 students, with chairs and desks. Our greatest partners, are those who share physical space once a week, to bring training and knowledge that will change people's lives.
